We have all experienced those moments when someone in your game just will not turn off their close and loud music, and you need a little silence to enter the area. Or maybe you want to annoy your friend and silence them on Xbox One, just because you can. The problem is that once you have silenced them, you probably want to reactivate them at some time in the future (especially in the latter case). This is what you must do to unmute on Xbox One.
How to unmute on Xbox one
- First of all, you’ll want to go to your profile. You can do this by pressing the Xbox button on your controller, the remaining tab on your account that logged in, press A and use the View Profile option.
- Next, you must use RB to jump to the Social tab and then select ‘Next’ on the left. From here, you will use the small drop-down menu only to show the people you have currently silenced on your Xbox One. From here, select the person you want, press A to go to your profile, and then select the Unmute option towards the bottom.
- Of course, you can make the Xbox One override process much faster if you already know the profile of the person you want to activate. Open your friend’s list, find them, press A to see their small side profile that appears, and select Unmute from here. Either method will produce the same result.
That’s all you need to know to stop silencing someone on Xbox One. For more information about the system, be sure to look for Twinfinite.
