Microsoft’s OneDrive apk for Android received a bump in v5.7, which focuses on things related to photos. Users can expect a new full scanning tool with basic editing tools and a faster way to navigate their libraries, as well as the ability to take photos directly within OneDrive and save them in the cloud.
Here is the changelog:
- Accidentally remove a lot of things? OneDrive supports you! We would notify you when a large number of files are deleted from your OneDrive so you can restore them if you made a mistake.
- Full compatibility with Android O, including notification channels and optimisations of the background battery.
Instead, you’re just taking a picture with the new OneDrive apk camera feature. A bit anticlimactic, I would say, but I think it’s useful for some people. One question I have left is: what is the point? Initially, Microsoft says that this addition is to help you save space on your phone, but if you have enabled the camera loading and cleaning of the device, you will get the same functionality. Anyway, you access this and the Scan function, through the floating action button on the Main Files tab.
As usual, the update must be live for everyone in the Play Store, but in case it is not for you, we have the onedrive download link in LegCD for your load pleasure.
