Playing Fortnite is a lot of fun when you do not fill in holes or kiss the infinite gauntlets of other players. Looking for weapons? Exciting. Cutting down trees? Soothing, in a way similar to Ron Swanson. Are you looking for objects on the map? Just think about how much fun it will be not to use it when another player guesses you with bullets from the middle of the map.
This is the deal: a lot of people are too good at Fortnite. Combine that with the game’s sometimes fussy combat system, and killing someone, especially if you’re a For a newbie, can be incredibly difficult at times. You may also be concerned that your lack of skill in the traffic death department will prevent you from leveling up and unlocking unique outfits, dance moves and other cosmetics. Fortunately, there is another way to do it.
Fortnite offers new challenges every week to help you earn experience points and level up your character. Most of these involve shooting other players, but there are some exceptions. Next, you will find five Fortnite challenges of the current season of the game that you can complete without killing anyone.
These challenges will not only help you unlock particular elements but will also propel you to explore new parts of the Fortnite map and give you a valid excuse to avoid facing other players. You have until the end of Season 4 (that’s July 9) to do the work. Good luck!
How To Level Up On Fortnite Without Killing Anyone
1) Find the rubber ducklings
There are approximately 20 rubber ducks hidden in the vast map of Fortnite, and your job is to find them. You will have to locate 10 of the ducks to complete this challenge. You do not have to do everything in a game, but you have to finish each game (either winning or dying) to count.
Finding these ducks is not easy. They are small and often hidden behind other objects, but you will not have to track them on your own. GameRevolution put together a handy map that shows the location of 10 different ducks to help you finish in no time.
2) Dancing for the camera
This challenge will send you running through the map to locate seven movie cameras. Once you find each camera, all you have to do is a dance in front of it by pressing the button down on your controller (or “B” if you are playing on a computer).
These cameras are great, but detecting them from a distance is still quite tricky. Your best option is to use a map made by a fan to guide you. This one from Inverse reveals the location of 10 different cameras (remember, you only need seven to get the reward).
If you can spell the name of the game you are playing, you can solve this challenge. Your task here is to collect the eight letters that make up the word “Fortnite.”
These letters can appear in 15 different places on the map, and you will always find the next letter you need, no matter where you go. Use this IGN guide to track them in an instant.
4) Grab some jumping rocks
The fourth season of Fortnite added a new interesting item to the game: hop rocks. These extraterrestrial comet fragments can be found scattered across the map, but the highest concentration is found in Dusty Divot (that massive hole in the ground located in the center of the island).
To complete this challenge, you must grab seven jump rocks. As an additional advantage, each rock will give you a temporary antigravity impulse, which will allow you to cover great distances in a single jump until it disappears.
5) Use a Port-a-Fort
The Port-a-Fort of Fortnite is a perfect element. Just throw it to the ground and a defensive tower will sprout from nothing, giving you a large metal shield to hide behind while shooting at your enemies.
The hardest part of this challenge is finding Port-a-Fort. There is no map to help you here. Instead, you’ll only have to search for weapons until you’re lucky. But once you find one, all you have to do is use it and go.
